Obtain divided by total and their answer multiply with hundred the percentage will be received.

When 7 divide by 20 the answer comes in the form of decimal which is 0.35.

Decimal of 0.35 are taken out by this way.

=7/20

=0.35

When 7/20 of percentage is needed the answer will be 35%.

To do that percentage we can write in this way

= (7/20) ×100

=700/20

=35

What is the Percentage of 10/20 ?

Solution

Percentage of 10/20 is 50%

10/20=(10/20) ×100

=0.5× 100

=50

Example 2

What is decimal value of 20/40 ?

Solution

The decimal value of 20/40 is 0.5 by this way

20/40=1/2

=0.5
