Background and context
Sexual reproduction is a type of reproduction that involves a complex life cycle where a gamete (such as a sperm or egg cell) joins a single chromosome with another to form a zygote that develops into an organism made up of cells with two sets of the diploid chromosome. In another hand asexual reproduction that does not involve fusion of gametes or changes in the number of chromosomes and it is the earliest form of reproduction of unicellular organisms such as archaea and bacteria.
