The nickel's image in the figure below has thrice the diameter of the nickel when the lens is 2.80 cm from the nickel. Determine the focal length of the lens (in cm). A magnifying glass is held over a nickel so that about half of the nickel is visible through the glass. The half seen through the glass has a diameter about twice that of the half not seen through the glass.
