The main sections of this spreadsheet are the calculation formulas. The formulas in the spreadsheet will calculate the total income and total expenditures. This is done by using the sum formula to add a column/row of amounts. In addition, the spreadsheet can also calculate how much money one has remaining after earning and spending it. This is done by subtracting the total expenses from the total income. The outcome maybe positive or negative, surplus or deficit, profit or loss. Another feature available in this spreadsheet is that if one wished to add other income or expenses, it could simply be done by inserting another row and their would be no need to re-adjust any of the formula cells.
