Limited number of people own or control a huge portion of the wealth in canada. Important insights: recognized the economic basis of class systems, noted the relationship between people"s location in the class structure and their values, beliefs, and behaviour, acknowledged that classes may have opposing (rather than complimentary) interests. Important societal resources crucial in determining their life chances.
