Cellular plugs come from megakaryocyte lumenal extensions in bone marrow discoid shape maintained by cytoskeleton granules (recruit other platelets for clotting) activate clotting cascade also (leads to fibrin formation) tissue repair role (platelet derived growth factor) Myelomononuclear cells from myeloblasts can migrate between tissue and blood. Neutrophil 2x size of rbc most abundant wbc.
