Confirmation bias, seeing what you want to see. One interviews an introvert, another an extravert (independent variable) Shown a list of questions, asked to choose. If interviewers were interviewing an introvert they chose introverted questions, if interviewing and extravert they asked extraverted questions (confirmation bias) Played tapes of answers and even though the people being interviewed were chosen randomly, those asked introverted questions responded introvertedly and the same for those asked extraverted questions. Positive beliefs can transform anyone in positive ways. An expectation can actually affect the way children perform in school. Four factors involved: warmer climate, input, response opportunities and feedback. Availability heuristic means basing a judgment on the case with which examples come to mind. Representative heuristic categorizes by how well they can seem to represent the category. Self-presentation is the process of constructing and presenting the self in order to shape others impressions and achieve ulterior goals. Something you are always doing in the presence of others.
