The fine and uncertain line between normal and abnormal pattern of personality that"s unusual and problematic personality disorder labelling can be dangerous because you start pathologizingso many undesirable patterns that the concept of mental illness. May come to view them differently probably everyone has personality characteristics that at their most extreme, would be labelled disorders, yet in the normal range, these aspects are desirable and even essential to a person"s identity.
