I'm trying to review for a chem exam on acids and bases, and I cant figure out how to do this problem...
"Find the pH of a .155M HClO2-(aq) solution. For HClO2, Ka=0.011"
I came up with the answer 1.39 but the solutions manual says that it is 1.44. I dont understand the steps to getting the answer!
Are the following acids, bases, or neutral? NaNO2â, HNO2, NaC2H3O2â. Please also explain why they are acids or bases. i.e. how do i know if they are proton donors or acceptors?
