Americans believe they are liberators, but are seen as conquerors. Philippines did not think of themselves as one nation, had different ethnic groups/cultures/languages. Us is trying to tame the unruly countries, too many non-white civilians, therefore countries such as the philippines needed to be conquered. Babies are shown as obnoxious, crying, difficult.
