Document Summary
It"s that food s(cid:272)ie(cid:374)(cid:272)e is si(cid:373)pl(cid:455) (cid:374)ot sophisticated enough to deal with the massively complex system that is nutrition: o (cid:449)e (cid:272)a(cid:374)"t use it to guide (cid:374)utritio(cid:374) (cid:448)er(cid:455) effe(cid:272)ti(cid:448)el(cid:455) We can see how these rules take advantage of natural processes our evolved bodies, and culturally evolved rules for eating to generate good outcomes without us having to understand how it works. Physicality and mood: let"s start (cid:271)(cid:455) talki(cid:374)g a(cid:271)out the (cid:272)o(cid:374)(cid:374)e(cid:272)tio(cid:374) (cid:271)et(cid:449)ee(cid:374) (cid:271)od(cid:455) a(cid:374)d (cid:373)ood, the take away, your mood/happiness/well-being is inextricably linked to what your body is doing. Exercise and well being: obviously, e(cid:454)er(cid:272)ise (cid:373)akes (cid:455)ou healthier, agai(cid:374) this is so(cid:373)ethi(cid:374)g (cid:455)ou"(cid:448)e lear(cid:374)ed (cid:455)our whole lives: (1) weight control (2) heart disease (3) cancer (4) diabetes (5) osteoporosis (6) arthritis, sexual dysfunction, etc. Telomeres: telomeres are the sections of dna at the end of your chromosomes that buffer your genes during replication. Telomere shortening: as your dna replicates, little bits on the end get chewed off.
