Ancient hatred system institutions: the idea that grips have long lasting disputes that boil over into violence, this explanation of ethnic violence emphasizes the importance of historical knowledge, ex. They are socially constructed, and not static t: most ethnic disputes are resolved peacefully. the goal of the state is to maintain order. One view: radicals are extreme liberals, reactionaries are extreme conservatives, in the us and other modern democracies, liberal sometimes means left wing and conservatives are right wing.
