Nations exist in our minds, as economic units and political units. Bring us comfort and help us describe what a canadian is. They inspire us because we are motivated to sustain them and they inspire us. Canadians are becoming louder and more open about their national identity. With globalization and media our popular culture is becoming more and more globalized or americanized. Multiculturalism is not creating the society we want- makes us uncomfortable. Four questions (choose out of 5 questions) Questions must be answered in one or two paragraphs. Hint: look at the big questions from every lecture. Must be answered in the form of an essay. Hint: look at the big questions to help frame it- go back to. Based upon lectures, seminar discussions, readings and written assignments, and using specific examples to support your arguments, write an essay that addresses the following two questions:
