What do you know about yourself, what is your perception about yourself. When a baby does not know about themselves, you show them in the mirror they think its another baby. 1 put something on their nose and you show themselves in the mirror if they touch their own nose, they know its them. 19th century philosopher and psychologist william james, modern researchers believe that the foundation f self concept is the child"s awareness that he/she exist independently of other people and objects in the environment, and that their existence continues over time. Red mark on the nose then look at mirror. Provides many opportunities for infants to explore how their arm and hand movements relate to the physical world. Capable of remembering things that they did in the past, people talk about their past, and children will have the sense of being in the past and the present. Remembered self self involved in a life narrative.
