Ironically when people try not actively to think about something, you end up thinking about it even more. So they said how about we suppress stereotypes. You need to have a goal, then you need to act on that goal and have someone check to see if you are achieving that goal. Operating process (op) takes action to meet desired state (prevent stereotypes) Under load, op fails mp works in the opposite way and makes you think about the stereotype.
