1990s when we started thinking about globalization. With tech, there are theories about how the world is changing. Information is no longer in a place it is now networked. Labour is outsourced no longer where product is manufactured. Neoliberalism a shift in the way we think about the world. States will invite certain forms of investment from overseas. Model of thinking about change and the individual the resources and the right network. Allow you to connect and transfer tech and resources between places that were before limited by states boundaries and geography. Ford factories as places in which things are built. Entrepreneurial model you as an individual have the ability to make money if you have. People in call centre make more money at call centres than other places after graduation from uni: they speak english. Want to date people who are not of their ethnic class.
