Who these ppl are and why it"s important to know about their situation. Policies that disable govt to help welfare of own citizens, allowing foreign capital to come in imf (direct capital flows and whose money can make a profit) The image: the picture or reflection that gets disseminated and distributed by technology. The imagined: imagined community global community that is part of the distribution. People we have encountered are part of this world. Not just ethnic group, but the whole world. Durkheim: power of the collective in sharing/imagining something that is real but outside of them.
