For small entrepreneurial companies: task culture (athena) Principal concern is to get the job done: role culture (apollo) Organization has formal structure and well established rules and procedures. For large organizations where work is predictable: person/existential culture: (dionysus) Organization s purpose is to serve interest of individuals within it. There are 4 approaches to strategy in organizational culture: defenders (doing things right) (models of strategic culture) Tried and trusted solution e. g. accountants, engineers etc: prospectors (doing the right thing) Follow the change, do not initiate change e. g. managers: reactors. Involvement culture (satisfied employees give performance e. g. orchestra) Deal and kennedy"s work: (association of culture & risk) Culture is function of willingness of employees to take risk and their feedback .
