Document Summary

Fossils that date after 25,000 years are quite common. We amhs first appear between 250,000 and 150,000 years ago. The oldest amh fossils we have are from africa. Amh fossils from outside of africa are more recent. Among all modern humans, there is a wide range of structures difficult to make a list of traits that can characterize all amhs. However, there are some characteristics that are common that are shown in. Amhs and not in other species, such as neanderthals. Tall, rounded cranial vault (soccer ball, rather than football) Our faces tend to be flat and tucked under our brain case. Has a rounded occipital in the back. Humans as well has a chin, not seen in early hominin fossils. Widest point of our cranial breadth is high up on the forehead, while for the neanderthals, it tends to be right under their ears.
