While no environment is entirely stable humans have created more instability. Tsunamis, hurricanes, tornados, droughts, earthquakes, flooding & natural. Changes in economic systems have impacted local & global environments (ex. Swidden slash/burn & irrigation &mosquitoes co2 increases) Population expansion leads to ecological imperialism (crosby 1986)
