At the core of this perspective is another term coined as the sociological imagination. Biological determinism: the belief that the way we act reflects in-built biological traits such as the need to reproduce, the need to survive, and so on. Society: group of people that share a culture and territory. Social location: where people are located in a particular society, factors considered: occupation, income, education, gender, age, and ethnicity. Macrosociology: focuses on the broad features of society, used to analyze such things as social class and patriarchy, other examples: conflict theory, functionalism, and feminism.
