James : emotion have bodily feedback come from the face and gut, and feedback goes into feedback loop. Bodily reaction sustains experience, relationship between organic and noetic. The world is out there happening the mind and body are happening and storm creates and affective portion that we call emotion. Emotion doesn"t last forever but becomes a self sustaining system. Body and mind working together to feed each other. Psychodynamic: early on in our life we have certain istuations that become very powerful or us. Early situations lay down foundation for emotional experience. Later life experiences are echos of previous episodes. Something early on remains a paradigm situation for the future. Important thing: critical events happen early on and become paradigmatic, see events like that later powerful response to it, and these early events are unresolved usually that"s why they are so effective in the future. Ziegarnik effect: talk about the need for completion-something is unresolved.
