A virtuous character is necessary for a good life problem. Virtue ethics; doesn"t provide much guidance for action. (aristotle is not clear with his explanation: experienced people know what to do inexperienced people can ask for advice inexperienced people can ask themselves what would a virtuous person do in this situation? environmental virtue ethics. Outward turning virtues could apply to the environmental as much as they do to other people hill- ideals of human excellence and preserving natural environments. Moral discomfort: pre-reflective feeling that a decision or action was wrong. This feeling is ethically significant: virtue ethics explain why feeling is significant. It is closely associated with the question what kind of a person would do something like that? .
