Document Summary
Stress: non-specific response of the body to any demand made upon it , stress is important in life. Distress: death of a close friend, feeling overwhelmed. Eustress: going out on a date, getting a promotion. Having no stress hormones causes illness: addison"s disease. Increases heart rate and breathing rate: hypothalamic pituitary adrenal (hpa) axis.
