Self-report neo personality inventory measure 5 dimensions of personality: neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness and conscientiousness. Mmpi-ii used for clinical diagnoses and hiring decisions. The reliability of measure reduces uncertainty or error associated with that measure. Reliability can be increased by taking multiple observations of the same variable. Reliability is increased when the number of items is increased. Most common correlation coefficient is the pearson product-moment correlation coefficient the closer the relationship is to +1. 00 or -1. 00 the stronger the relationship: correlation of 0. 00 = no correlation at all. To assess reliability of a measure need at least two scores on the measure from many individuals; if similar that reliable (two scores should show a high positive correlation) Assessed by measuring the same individuals at two points in time.
