News is the content of the newspaper that is promoted as news. What they are feeding us as news is not necessarily news worthy. News is a form of story-telling, people aren"t able to generate two sides of a story so they make an anecdote. News value depends on topical communities some people will spend all day reading a newspaper about gadgets because they are passionate about it (politics, automobiles, famous people, etc) no community = no coverage. Boundaries are constructed to preserve the knowledge and values in the news generation system.
