Analyze families/members of a small group or individuals in common situations. Any individual or family/group is always part of a bigger group. Things that affect one part, affect all parts. Chance may not occur in the person/family but still affects them greatly. Imagery: ex. (calm, until rock hits water and causes rippled effect and spreads) Alters all parts of the system (interventions are often multiple and effects multiple parts of a system) Ex school environments these can become a part of the changes. Social systems (ex families) equilibrium can be negative (ex a role of individual misbehaving) Try to alter one piece, but it takes the whole system to adjust.
