Textbook: life support: the environment and human health. Assignments (2) 30% (15% each) 1 month break between the 2 assignments. Mid-term examination: 30% - first half of the lectures. Final examination: 40% not cumulative 2nd half of the lectures. Ta"s will help to do the assignments during their office hours. Mid term: 1 hr, multiple choice and true-false questions lectures 1-6. Final: 1 hr, same as midterm, lectures 7-11. Questions will be on the exam from videos. Environmental health threats: we can adjust daily routine to reduce threats, your environment is your health these statements are old -when we realize everything around us has an impact. Environment is everything that affects a living organism. Effect of environment on human health is so great air, water, soil, biota, manmade environment (created by society), volcano is a physical hazard. Beside all chemical and physical impacts- some people will be impacted and others may not be affected.
