Somatopleure- is formed by the somatic mesoderm (parietal=related to the wall) which combines with the ectoderm. The somatic mesoderm is responsible for forming the parietal, which is related to the wall. The splanchnic mesoderm is responsible for forming the visceral, which is related to internal organs. Presumptive heart cells originate from two patches of the epiblast, close to the anterior part of the primitive streak. Wnt inhibit heart formation in the anterior and induce/promote blood formation in the posterior. Wnt inhibitors prevent inhibition of heart formation in the anterior. The foregut of endoderm controls the direction of movement. Nkx2-5 drive mesodermal cells to form carioblasts and it induces gata and mef2 families. Gata and mef2 induce heart specific proteins, cardiac actin, atrial natriuretic factor and alpha-myosin chains. Looping converts anterior-posterior polarity into right-left polarity: define hemangioblast, pluripotent hsc and angioblast. Hemangioblast- are common precursors to blood vessel and blood cell formation. They form pluripotential hematopoeitc stem cells and angioblasts.
