Document Summary

Sir francis crick: he discovered the structure of dna (1916-2004), got noble price. Central dogma of molecular biology: dna- how the genetic info is passed which is from dna rna protein. Bacteria and complex cells= ukoriyotes = have a nucleus- the genetic is within nucleus v. s prokaryotes= have no nucleus eg. bacteria have plasmids. Eukaryotes= cytoplasm: includes mitochondria passed from the mother"s egg. Its imp if you study nuclear dna= mass perspective history from both sides migration from the female side if you study the chromosome you will learn about the history from the male side. Secret of life: it was a very big discovery= he was able to explain how genetic material was passed from one generation to the next go to mendel experiments and see how inheritance really works. This was a famous discovery by francis crick and james watson: not the case that they discovered on their own.
