Rise of part-time/contract work: so the things we can see with this is the rise in the last couple of decades. Individuals over the age of 40 with contracts. Less disposable income: haves and have nots, ex. going on vacation, having new upgrades or even buying things to indulge in, bad for the economy because people are just buying necessities. Lack of post-secondary education: creating barriers for careers. Poor health: ex. mental health issues. High issues of lower class having mental health issues. Gender is a social construction = based on culture: ex. types of jobs people have, distributed by things like income, careers, etc. But, labels are tied to women: ex. women typically being servers in the food industries. Women are different: but they are the same. Common goals can be shared between men & women. Shared awareness based on culture: shared awareness when it comes to your belonging.
