We learn about theory"s by seeing what they are not: abstract vs. empirical, empirical is facts and numbers, statistics. There were this many art gallery"s before and this many now: but theory tells us why do people go to them, general vs. particular, contemplative vs. practical. Sociology: logical narrative or truth of something, social- being in company of other people, studying humans in their group life, how they interact.
