Once upon a time indicates that the story is a fairytale: associations with kings, queens, etc. Instead this story talks about the little people . Creation of a hybrid: puppet, human, or work of art. Piece of wood that is alive: humour, satire. Of geppetto and cherry: mr. cherry is a drunk. Political message: pinocchio is a brat, rebellious. Extension of geppetto, the father , creator: should be innocent, beautiful, but doesn"t happen. Similar to the story of adam and eve: teaches the puppet to walk and teaches him to be free.
