The second shift there s a second shift at home for parent and mostly women. Women continue to face more work at home. Internal job market: related jobs are connected by a ladder, gender segregation focuses women in dead end jobs. Industry location influences worker"s ability to gain wages and to move up. Well educated women cannot expect to be paid at comparable wages with men. Most go for bachelor"s degrees, and least do phds. Most of them are not in mathematics and sciences. It was found that women work harder than men and the demands at home did not impact them negatively. Therefore they are working harder for less work. Time spent working, men put in longer hours, but women have domestic work and part time jobs. Effort ( women are more likely to put in more effort) Experience more continuous and long term in men.
