Development of medical pluralism globalization is directly related to this- a mix of western healing practices. Example of medical pluralism: the sherpa of nepal- in textbook. Animal herders, small businesses, mountain guides for climbers and tourist industry most live in small communities. Believe all diseases are caused by imbalance of these 4 things. They assess the physical appearance of a person, the mental and emotional state of a person to diagnose them: shamans for diagnosis. Through going through a process called transformation they are able to speak to spirits.
