When he checks on lucy at night he sees the back. Asks arthur to kiss her (example of her evil/sexuality) Finds out about lucys death and sees an article about a beautiful lady approaching children and they have puncture marks on neck. Mina feels comforted by van helsing (has mutual recognition of his character) Van helsing talks to mina about jonathon"s diary. Renfield has returned to habit of catching flies. Women go against their cultural role instead of raising children they attack them. Van helsing uses supernatural to explain what is going on. Arthur is more sexually attracted to lucy when she is dead (another ex of evil) Van helsing realizes lucy was the one biting the children.
