Will hays dealt with labour, public, etc. Academy of motion picture arts and sciences (founded in 1927) company union designed to forestall unionization of the creative talent and skilled professionals. Academy began to recognize the workers in hollywood as their spokesperson. Companies show company movies at company theatres and raise prices bc ppl wanna see it first.
