Assumed that the system must be changed with violence: killing the tsar, or his ministers / their families would change society. Manage to kill some of the ministers, at least 3. The masses generally believed in the tsar, so the sr thought that if they killed the tsar it would show that the system / state was weak and then the masses would join them in their cause. Society is filled with two groups: exploiters workers, peasants, exploited factory owners, land owners, etc. Want to get rid of the exploiters through violence: social democrats (sd)
