Took a step back and looked at the new sounds, decided they don"t want to deal with them all the time. Combines live sounds with computer generated sounds and magnetic tape. Based on spiritual sometimes i feel like a motherless child . Important that it"s based on a christian song. First african slaves brought to states in 1619, continued through 17th, 18th, and partway through 19th centuries (amended in american constitution, 1865) Part of the agenda for slave owners was to de-africanize slaves: prohibit slaves from speaking their own language, introduce new music to them, take away their own.
