Chapter 7 introduction to the dispositional strategy. Dispositional strategy people differ in the way they are generally disposed to behave. Box 7. 1 - number of descriptive adjectives used. Dispositions and genetics: biological approach some evidence suggesting that certain dispositions may be transmitted genetically. Relationship to people psychological studies provide some evidence that people often feel more comfortable assigning dispositional adjectives to those they know less well. Pervasiveness: allport and others have noted that dispositions vary in the degree to which they pervade (permeate) a particular personality.
