Document Summary

In the following i will argue that it is not possible to bracket income when it comes to accessing political power. Michael walzer is attempting to create a sense of equality in a marxist way. Though, this way would never be able to work in a marxist, or in fact any, society. This can cause the lower class to be at a huge disadvantage and ultimately never get have their voice heard. Also, if someone with a lot of income is running, chances are the lower class will end up voting for them too, in fear of losing their job or pay because they work for the higher class. I know what walzer is trying to do when he says that social goods will be available, such a health care and education but this creates such an unequal society.
