This reading gives an in depth look at business ethics and the different types of ethics that are looked at in today"s business world. Business ethics can be defined as rules, standards, codes or principles that provide guidelines for morally correct behavior. Value judgment"s are subjective evaluations of what is considered important. Example of this is what a manager would see as right or wrong. Moral standards are ethic guidelines by an individual, which will help them judge their actions of others based upon accepted behavior in society. There are many influences on ethical behavior such as individual morals, national and ethnic cultures, government legislation and etc. Ethical relativism is the belief that ethics measures depend on the situation and that there are no set in stone universal standards. There are many foundations that can be used when making a decision in terms of ethics.
