Theoretical roots: foucaults power as a relationally-realized negotiated dynamic. Study of: peoples struggles to further their interests and exercise agency within the context of the oppression and lack that characterizes their situation. How we resist is always conditioned by those restraints. Ex: teacher is harressed by police, she can go through the courts for help. If she was a sex worker she wouldnt be able to go through the courts.
