(there"ll be an exam question about him) Through consuming advertising, off-time is converted into value for the capitalist system. Not characterized by what it puts in you, but by what it takes out of you. (value of free time). Without it, no pattern of consumption: need this to be managed, management = power relationships. Not really don"t lose sight of what is significant propaganda on behalf of consumption.
