In corrections, their role is to manage and treat offenders, as well as provide expert advice concerning parole decisions. Impulsivity, or an inability to defer gratification; lack of perseverance; Natural: violation of social consensus, extends beyond a legal definition, deviant behaviour with respect to social norm. Pathology: not a matter of individual choice. Determined and/or predisposed to certain types of behaviour: biological and social conditioning and individual differences.
