In 1691 their colony is absorbed by the puritan bay colony in ma: there was a great migration into this area, thus explaining why big towns were set up, unlike the planters in virginia. They resembled british towns where people would all live in town together, but farmland was spread out in fields. The church was the most important to them, proving that. Puritans ran the town: puritans had to diversify because of the lack of farming foods. England economy is very mixed and relies on everyone to help pitch in. This made the food very rich and healthy.
