What is character virtue: character virtue: a character trait human being needs to flourish or live well that is manifested in habitual action, character traits: dispositions to feel and react as well as act in certain ways, habitual: you do no have the virtue of honesty" if you only tell the truth when it serves your purposes, the honest person is honest no matter what. Different people have different virtues: auto mechanic vs. a doctor, we also want to asses people as people to see if this person is a good person = this is what moral virtues refer to, moral virtue: the character traits manifested in habitual action by good people, for aristotle, some virtues may be more or less important to you, but there are some virtues that all people should have (courage, good decision making, generosity, honesty, loyalty, we get virtue by practicing, first it is forced, like out of habits.
