Late adulthood, little slow wave sleep: how much sleep a person needs is influenced by, genetic factors, work schedules, stress, age, general health. Why do we sleep: restoration model, sleep recharges our run down bodies & allows us to recover from physical & mental fatigue, need sleep to function at our emotional, mental & physical best, what gets restored, adenosine & sleep.
