Scientific revolution: theory of motion, feels everything is made up of particles, particles all touch eachother, god like creature moves and starts the motion to get the rest of the particles moving, whole new world view is moving everything is based upon human reason and observation. Vortices : wasn"t satisfactory to everybody worked on further by an english philosopher known as isaac newton finally able to work out what gravity is and how it works, greenwich observatory established by the crown in the 1670s and 1680s, planetary motions and bodies over decades, calculus, gravity rules the universe, newton respected god and praised god for the invention of science, newton got all the fame and fortune published the principles of mathematics, way newton did things fascinated people, newton characterized the principles of light spectrum, gravity is a universal natural law becomes a foundation for 18th century thinking law of nature.
