It was really popular in the late 1980s, early 1990s, cops was one of the first shows. In comparison to violent: many of these stories involve statements bout offenders and thse statements involve the morality of the offenders. These individuals are morally impoverish and different from the rest and non. The junkies and users violent episodes, violent episodes involve non whites and vice versa. not dangerous are white and vice versa. Portrayals of junkies and are white, and the dealers are non white: invariably, the police are represented in a sympathetic way. Most of these episodes talk about the dangerousness of police work, the city they live in, the importance of police in regards to crime, etc. At this point, it"s obvious and subtle that this story is told in the police"s perspective. This impacts the kinds of themes that emerge from the segments.
